I'm walking 24 hours on the treadmill to raise funds for R U OK?
Every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their lives – that gives me 65,000 reasons to Tread As One.
R U OK?'s vision is a world where we're all connected and protected from suicide.
As many around me know, I lost my cousin two years ago to mental health.
Jess was 22 when she died but her struggles began long before that, dating back to primary school being her first instances of self harm. She fought so hard, battling so many of her inner demons but unfortunately she couldn't get the help that she needed and she deserved.
R U OK? is a foundation that I care so strongly about. I will be walking 24 hours from 9am Saturday - 9am Sunday October 7-8, to raise funds for this foundation so that people never have to feel alone and are able to access the support they need.
