My Goal

Did you know that 65,000 Australians attempt to take their life each year? We believe that gives us 65,000 reasons to run for a great cause!

Every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their lives – that gives me 65,000 reasons to Tread As One.

R U OK?'s vision is a world where we're all connected and protected from suicide.

Their mission is to inspire and empower people to meaningfully connect and lend support to the people in their world who may be struggling with life.

I believe in their mission and will be running as far as I can and raising as much money and awareness as possible for this cause that’s close to my heart.

I’d really appreciate your support – every donation helps.

Your donation will help inspire people to take the time to ask "are you OK?" and listen, which can help people struggling with life feel connected long before they even think about suicide.

Thank you for your support, together we will make a difference as we Tread As One.

Monday 3rd May
After giving birth to my second child my mental health went down hill fast, everyday was constant tears and wanting to take my own life and nothing could pull me out of that black hole.
I had always struggled with depression but this was a whole new level I watched my mum battle with it and I didn’t want to believe I was battling with the same thing or admit to it and be judged but I had to do something for my kids so I bit the bullet and went to the doctors and admitted to the way I felt and that I was contemplating taking my life daily.

11 years later I’m still medicated I still have good and bad days but I have learnt to speak up and not bottle up how I’m feeling, I’ve learnt what works for me when I’m starting to go down hill and how to get myself back together again.

The best way to get through my days is gym first up to set my head up for the day with a positive strong mind and when that doesn’t work it’s spending time with my horse, when I’m there nothing else can be in my head the one thing that’s there is my safety but he also knows when I’m not myself and is always up for snuggle knowing that will make me feel better.

If ever you need to talk I’m always available to listen I’m not much for a cuddle with humans but I will always lend a ear.

Never forget it’s ok not to be ok
